Organic Bamboo Cutting Boards - $20. If you don't have a good cutting board at home then you are just making life hard for yourself. Outside of the dishes, nothing will keep you from cooking at home more than lousy tools. These boards look sturdy, they are anti-microbial, and they could probably double for charcuterie trays which is a nice bonus if you like hosting company!
